A downloadable icon pack

About the icon pack

As I was drafting a dungeon map for one of my other experimental projects (That is why some of the icons are rather.. circumstantial?.. and will hardly find a use in most other cases) I noticed that there isn't a lot of free hand drawn icon packs on the internet that would fit my map and that's how I decided to make myself all the icons I would need. I did not have any realistic photoshop brushes neither a drawing tablet, so I decided to buy an A3 sheet of paper and draw a lot of different icons, then scan them and process them to get a bunch of good and realistic looking icons. And I think in the end it turned out rather nice.

There are 455 unique icons (although some of them are variations of one another) made with 2 different processing styles: Realistic and Cartoony both having 2 versions: black and white (BW) and transparent, that makes 4 images per icon with 1820 images in total. All the images are 1024x1024 squares, although some of them have a lot of empty space around the icon.

How are the icons sorted

So, as I mentioned earlier there are two different styles and the best way to get them in your game is to get the transparent icons and tint them to the color you want. But windows explorer won't show you white icons on transparent background so it will be easier to search for icons in BW folders.

Here are examples of how the same icon looks in different folders:

Now, inside of each of those folders are some more folders!.. In which icons sorted by the purpose... kinda... So there are different folders:

1. elements - Mostly icons you would use as UI elements or different signs. arrows, crosses, circles, squares, etc. Contains 76 icons

2. environment - Things you would use as background on a map. Forests, mountains, mushroom fields... Contains 14 icons

3. stuff - This is probably the best folder as it has a HUGE variety of different things you could use on a dungeon map.  Rocks, crystals, swords, monsters, different papers, a lot of dungeon props and even some sci-fi stuff. Contains 128 icons

4. tiled - All the tileable stuff, textures you can seamlessly repeat. Contains 11 icons

5. variants - Variations of different things, each having about 4 similar icons. Would be useful when you need a lot of the same icon, but you don`t want it to look exactly the same. Contains 216 icons

So, two folders I would suggest to check out at the first place are stuff folder and variants folder. And here are some examples of the icons in different folders:

ah yes.. enviroment....

Q: Will you make more icons? A: Well, as I said earlier, I started making these icons for my other experimental project, but I do want to make some more icons like this in the future. Still, I don't know when will I make more of them or even will I make more of them or not.

Q; What's this Icon processing guide? A: If you want to know how exactly I made these assets and repeat the process, this guide will tell you what buttons to press in Photoshop and general idea of how to turn scanned papers in to this kind of assets.

wow what a huge and cute art pack!

Paypal is not accepting payments when I try to order. It says "The merchant isn’t able to accept PayPal payments at this time. Please try again later or return to the merchant and choose another way to pay." If you have an alternative method I can send payment.

Thank you for notifying me. Yes, it seems that I have some trouble getting PayPal payments , so I decideed to giveaway the supporter items for free. After all, why should it go to waste? Also, I made an update on the page about it. If you still wish to support me, you can do it here if you want to.
